Tina is a sweet and small cat, she was living as a stray for an unknown period of time.  She came to us early January 2012.  Tina can be a little shy when meeting new people or being in a new place however she comes around quickly and proves to show that she is quite the affectionate and attention seeking little girl.  She is excellent with other cats.  Because of her shyer nature we would prefer to see her adopted into a quiet home without young children.  She will make someone a wonderful companion!

This handsome Manx boy was found living as a stray in Strathmore, he was turned over to our local animal control department who contacted us to help find a loving home for him.  Mr. Magoo is an easy going boy, he gets along really well with other cats and is not a dominant boy when with other cats.  He's a strong cat and likes to exercise so having a good sturdy and tall cat post would be ideal for him inside so he can play! 

These kittens MUST stay together, they are far too bonded to seperate - if you see them together you will totally understand! $325 for the pair (see our Prices for everything included)

Marco and Polo are loving, playful, friendly and adorable kitten brothers who were found roaming around in Strathmore.  A canvas of the area led to no luck and the kittens were taken in by local animal control who contacted us to assist.  These boys have clearly come from a home at some point - they are so well socialized and used to being inside.  Anyone who adopts them will be in for some super affection times two!

If you like having a cat that hugs you around the neck and gives cat kisses all over your face - look no further! Pepsi has got to be one of the most affectionate cats we have at the sanctuary right now.  This boy was found several weeks ago inside the back of a large *Pepsi truck (thus the name).  He wasn't neutered and had no ID tags, because of the many places the driver had stopped - there was no way to trace all of them and nobody has reported him missing within our area.  We had him fixed and all his shots done, he is now ready for adoption!  He can be a little standoffish with other cats and we're not totally sure how he is with dogs yet but due to his really wonderful nature we feel he would adapt well to most homes if given time.  He loves to be brushed and cuddled.

Super sweet cat who fits in well anywhere he goes.  Great with other pets, and excellent with all people. Max was surrendered to us this past year as his owner was moving and not home often, she worried he didn't have enough attention.  Max will make a great addition to most homes, please let us know if you have any questions about him or are interested in adopting! These bunnies were pets that were no longer wanted.  The owners attempted to release the bunnies into a field, however they hopped their way back home and amazingly were not injured by predators on the way home.  Someone who knew of the situation rescued the bunnies and they became "Happy Cat" bunnies.  We have had them both fixed and microchipped.  They are very cuddly, love to be held and are gentle.  We would like them to stay together and the adoption fee for them is $200 to help cover some of the fees associated with their surgery's.

Sisters, Mystic and Gracie have always lived together. they are an adorable, inseparable pair. They love to chase each other, play fight and then cuddle up in each other's company. Once, Mystic was lost for almost six weeks and Gracie was beside herself without her. However, when Mystic was found and returned home Gracie didn't seem to recognize her and chased her around the house- then within hours they were cuddled up together and have been inseparable ever since. They are good company and very affectionate with people. Both cats have proven themselves to be good mousers and sometimes have worked as a team to capture the elusive little critter. Mystic is a little eccentric and funny, while
Gracie is talkative and very demonstrative- both cats are sweet
natured and love a good petting.

BONDED PAIR MUST STAY TOGETHER

Stinkz is a big handsome boy! He has a very loving nature and longs to have a warm lap to cuddle on.  Stinkz is great with dogs (especially smaller breeds) and is quite easy-going.  Stinkz has one blue eye and one yellow, he's extra unique!

Anne Marie is a happy and very friendly young adult cat.  She loves to talk and is very sociable.  Great with other pets and children too! Anne Marie will make a lovely addition to most homes!

A kind family has been doing their best to help look after the cats (that are not theirs) and Happy Cat has agreed to assist the situation in order to make sure these lovely cats get everything they need and find permanent loving homes!

Dancer is a sweet cat, very quiet and gentle.  She is used to being around other animals and children too.  Dancer may act shy when coming into a new home, but it won't take long for her to settle in and you will be rewarded with a very appreciative and affectionate cat.  Dancer and several other cats we are currently caring for, came from an acreage with too many cats in desperate need for help.  A kind family has been doing their best to help look after the cats (that are not theirs) and Happy Cat has agreed to assist the situation in order to make sure these lovely cats get everything they need and find permanent loving homes!

Quite shy but not aggressive at all - lived outside atleast over this past winter.  She was found under someone's deck this summer...Strathmore animal control and happy cat worked together to safely get Melissa and her kittens out.  Melissa is so gentle and just needs a quiet home to be adopted into.  

Nabu came to us from the Calgary Humane Society - she was too stressed out in the shelter and had stopped eating.  She was considered adoptable because of her very calm and gentle personality but she needed to be in a quiter environment in order to find that forever home!  Nabu is healthy and beautiful.  She is very cuddly for a Himalayan cat!  Quiet and clean, Nabu would do best in a home with relative peace and quiet. She may act a little shy but she is truly a one of a kind, gentle soul who wants nothing more than a loving owner to cuddle and sleep with :)

This pair of cats are absolutely wonderful!  They came to us a little scared at first (they were surrendered to us due to allergies in the home)but within a few weeks blossomed into such incredible cats.  They love to cuddle and to be brushed, both of them are affectionate and will sleep with you at night.  They are so affectionate, we can't believe they are still available for adoption!

This beautiful girl wandered showed up as a pregnant stray, a wonderful family took her in where she had her kittens safely inside (she was in an area with a heavy coyote presense).  Elsie is an excellent mama, she is used to children in the home and is very gentle, sweet and trustworthy.  She doesn't seem to like other cats and gets very anxious if around any new animals, but with people - she's the perfect house companion.  If you are looking for one of those cats who fits in well either in a quiet home or within a family, Elsie would be a great choice!

Isys came with her sister Cleo - their owner abandoned them with a friend who was unable to keep them.  Isys is a gentle and lovable girl. She gets along great with the other cats at the sanctuary and is very people friendly.  Will do well adopted into a family or single person home!

Sweet, friendly and affectionate.  Cleo gets along great with everyone at the shelter (cats and volunteers) - she will make a great addition to a family or single person home, she has a lot of love to give!

Sweet and loving little kitty, she was born after her mom and several other cats were rescued in winter living outside in a wood pile.  She's a healthy and playful little girl looking for a loving home!

Mae West is a quiet and gentle little girl, she may act a little shy but she's actually quite friendly and sweet once she gets to know you.  Mae West is great with other cats, she will make a great addition to your home!

Beautiful girl, has so much love to give. Patches prefers to be the main cat around however with the right home and slow introduction we think she would be great in most homes with other cats and she is GREAT with kids, any age.   A little weary of dogs as she was attacked by one prior to coming into our care.
