Sugar Plum

Sugar Plum
Sex:
Female
Type:
DSH - Torti
Age Group:
Senior
Date of Birth:
February, 1999

Sugar Plum lived for a couple of years at a campground South of Strathmore - seeking shelter under campers and food from whoever was kind enough to leave some for her.  She was likely abandoned there after her owners left.  She's a sweetheart - very quiet and clean.  She doesn't ask for alot - just some good canned food at night and then you'll be rewarded with a big warm cat cuddling up on the couch.  Considering she lived so long outside you would think she would want to be out there...but she doesn't.  She is more than content living her life warm, inside and safe.  Sugar Plum is a little nervous with other pets at first (mostly if they come near her food), but would probably get along if introduced slowly  to another older cat or dog.  She is very sweet and waiting for her forever home.

Jinx and Tango

Jinx and Tango
Sex:
Female
Type:
DSH - Torbi (Jinx ) and DSH - Orange/White Tabby(Tango)
Age Group:
Adult
Date of Birth:
January, 2007

Bonded pair, we would like to see them adopted together

Both kitties were adopted from our organization - Jinx was adopted in 2006 and Tango in 2007.  Their owners are very sad but are needing to find a new home for these beautiful cats.  We asked them to write about the cats as they know them the best:

"Unfortunately we need to find a new home for our cats as our son has developed  allergies. Ideally we would like to see them go to a home together. They are both excellent family pets. Neither have been around dogs much, but would probably adjust well to other pets in the house.  Tango will do well in almost any household. He loves people and lots of activity and will run to the door when the doorbell rings to see who is there. He is used to being around kids and enjoys all of the attention they can give him. He is very affectionate and curious.  Jinx is also good with kids, but would be just as happy in a quieter household. She likes attention especially in the morning, but isn’t a lap cat. She loves to sit by the fireplace, enjoys a belly rub and likes to sit on the newspaper when you are trying to read it."

$150 adoption fee for the pair (special bonded pair price)

Age Group:
Adult
Date of Birth:
January, 2007

BAMBOO AND LILY NEED A FOSTER HOME!!  Bamboo does not do well at the sanctuary with the other cats around and she also becomes so stressed out at Petsmart when on display for adoption that she has stopped eating on several occasions when she goes there - WE HAVE NO FOSTER HOMES RIGHT NOW and are concerned for her well-being if she has to keep going back and forth to the sanctuary and Petsmart... Please consider, even for a few months - fostering these 2 kitties.  They need a break from shelter life and to be in a home.  Email us if you think you can help out, all supplies and any required vet care provided by Happy Cat to qualified foster homes.

Bamboo - Born approx. January 2007 - Domestic Short Hair, torti - female.  Prefers a quieter home, is gentle and loving when she gets to know you - will sit on your lap as you type away on the computer or quietly watch the birds outside.

Lily - Born April 2, 2009 (Bamboo's kitten) - Domestic Short Hair, orange mackeral tabby - female.  Is good with kids but her mom prefers to be in a quiet home.  Lily is a talker but very playful and is a lap cat once she gets to know you.  Lily is very bonded to her mom and you will understand why when you read their story below:
