This is one of our Medicine Hat rescues (please see below for the story). When he first came to us, he was extremely shy and I would often have to go looking in one of the cat houses for him. He’d let me pet him, but you could tell it made him nervous. He seemed to clash a bit with one of the other residents which, I think, may have contributed to his reluctance to come out. Since the other cat has been removed from the pen, Beethoven has really come out of his shell! He does seem to get along just fine with the rest of the cats, however, which is great to see. He purrs non-stop when I visit, and loves to be petted and snuggled. I was pleasantly surprised to see such a change from one visit to the next. It would be great if this guy could find the nice, loving home he deserves after the conditions he came from.
